The University has been approached by St Johns Ambulance service, who are co-ordinating the vaccination volunteers programme for the COVID-19 Vaccination roll out, to ask for our support finding volunteers to reach their target number of 30,000.

These two roles are for those aged 14 and over and look to provide some excellent real world health and care experience for college and university personal statements.

Over 18s will also be able to volunteer for the ‘vaccinator’ role on the website, but this role requires A Level qualifications, so would need to be pitched at the right people.

In the East Riding and Hull St John’s will need about 500 volunteers, about 100 will come from their current first aid and ambulance volunteer pool.

If any Explorers would like to volunteer please encourage them to visit https://vaccinationvolunteers.sja.org.uk

St John will contact applicants and work with the selected volunteers to bring them on board, and organise the training.
