I just want to update those leaders who were not at the AGM.
First of all, on the subject of District badges, I have to advise that Barbara Simpson has relinquished her role as District Badge Secretary and has now relinquished all roles in Scouting after over 30 years. A sad loss to The District but I’m sure you’ll join me in thanking her for all the years of service and in wishing her a happy retirement from Scouting.
In the short term , District Badges can be sourced from me and in September the role of Badge Secretary will be taken on by Andy Wales. Thanks Andy for agreeing to do this.
Furthermore our Deputy District Commissioner, Rachael Macadam, has stood down from the role. Again I think that you will join me in thanking her for the huge amount of work done for Blacktoft. She’s not going far , thankfully , and continues in her County role.
