It’s been almost eight weeks now and in that time I’ve been looking at how we can better support the County, undertaking a number of reviews and started getting out to meet people.
I can now share with you the new County Structure along with a range of vacancies that we would like to invite people to apply for.
You will see from the attached document that the structure will look different to what we’ve had in Humberside before, with four dedicated channels, each led by a Deputy County Commissioner and consisting of a number of teams rather than individuals. We are going to be all about working together in teams, not individuals, developing the County and better supporting Scouting in Humberside going forward.
As detailed in the information pack we haven’t specified every role that we are looking to fill as we want people to think outside of the box and come to us with ideas that will achieve our vision.
We need volunteers with a passion for Scouting, an open mind and a willingness to take Scouting forward to ensure that we achieve not only the vision of Humberside, but Scouting’s vision beyond 2018 too.
Your length of service is not important… 5 weeks or 50 years, it is your enthusiasm, skills and ideas that we are looking for!
I hope that you will consider joining the team, helping the County to leap forward and deliver better supported Scouting in Humberside.
Gary McCune
County Commissioner
