Partnership Agreements & Accounts:
Each Explorer Unit needs to have these if not completed already.

John Jobling (District Treasurer) is happy to help with Explorer Accounts.
DESC needs to see partnership agreements and accounts by 12^th July.

OSM:
All Groups now on OSM. Leaders to have own section, District will message Leaders, Leaders to pass on info to Explorers.

Young Leaders:
Young Leaders must be at least 14. They all need to complete their Mod A training within 3 months of becoming a Young Leader. Training is through Humberside.
14^th-16^th September:      Raywell, Mods B-E Young Leader training weekend (Mod A on Saturday)
30^th Nov-2^nd Dec:              Raywell, Mods F-I Young Leader training weekend (Mod A on Saturday)

Hopefully District will be able to organise Mod K (First Aid)

Age Limit:
Due to safeguarding Explorers cannot remain after they turn 18. They can join Network and won’t need DBS check or they become a Leader and need a DBS check. There is no extension time at all.

6^th-8^th July:                          Gilwell 24 (separate details to be emailed)
12^th July:                              Blacktoft Beacon District AGM and Rewards Ceremony, William’s Den, 7pm

14^th-16^th September:      Raywell, Mods B-E Young Leader training weekend (Mod A on Saturday)
12^th-14^th October:            Fells Marathon, Edale

District Events & Dates:
Please keep to deadlines set for District events. Bills will be sent out for payment. NAN forms must be emailed to Linda at least a week before the event.

Yellow & Orange Cards:
There are up to date versions that all adults/Young Leaders should have. GSLs should give them out.

The Thirteen Campaign:
Online support for young people and their families, run by East Riding     http://thirteen.me.uk

Self Defence Courses:
Ferriby & Swanland have someone who can run a self-defence course for Explorers. If interested contact  explorers@ferribyswanlandscouts.org.uk
