As a County Humberside Scouts are coming under increased pressure to suspend those volunteers who are non-compliant by the end of this month. We really do not want this to happen within Blacktoft Beacon – we know how hard it can be to find willing volunteers to take on roles both as leaders and exec members.
There are still a few leaders within Blacktoft Beacon District who are non-compliant with their training. Scout HQ are extremely keen to ensure that it is now completed. We have been chasing and reminding some people for over a year now, but to no avail. Hopefully some will realise the importance of completing this as we return to face to face scouting again, as by not having done the training, their COVID risk assessment will not be signed off. There are also some volunteers in Groups who do not have a face to face role, but they are not compliant either, eg Exec roles.
All the training can be completed online – safety, safeguarding, GDPR and trustee/exec training is via e-learning, and first aid by attendance at the County online courses.
Please encourage the outstanding Leaders in your Group to complete this by the end of this month.
