You may have seen that HQ announced on 25/08/2020 some potential changes to the guidance for face-to-face meetings.

These changes are not final yet and any guidance will not come into effect until 3rd September 2020. During this period, everyone will need to be flexible to adapt to the changing situation.

They have let us know this in advance to help prevent extra work for Sections writing risk assessments and District Teams that are approving them.

With this in mind, we strongly advise that any Sections who are ready to submit their risk assessments to District for approval, wait until after the changes and guidance is released on 3rd September.

This means that you can make any changes needed and not have to re-submit any risk assessments again, after 3rd September, saving everyone’s time and effort!

If you haven’t begun to complete your Risk Assessment yet, but are now considering it because there is the potential to be able to meet indoors, then please ensure that you have read through all the documents on scouts.org.uk and read our previous post on the process for Blacktoft Beacon.
