Safety is important in Scouting and, as you are probably aware, there has been a large focus on Safety in response to Great Orme. Every member is being asked to renew their Safety learning with a new Safety course that launched alongside the new membership system and is assured by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. The deadline for completion is July 2025, unless your safety was due to be renewed before then – in this case it will be the original renewal date.
Every section was also asked to complete a safety check list so we can understand where we are and what support we need to provide, this should have been shared via group lead volunteers. Not every section has completed this yet, so your section hasn’t completed it please visit www.humbersidescouts.org.uk/assurance/assurance-in-blacktoft-beacon-district and complete the section checklist as soon as possible.
