After a total of 14 years in the role of appointments secretary, Joy Milestone has decided that the time is right to pass the excitement and wonder of managing all the reams of records documentation around appointments, DBSs, references, and appointments panel organisation on to a new pair of hands. Joy’s persistence and effectiveness in this critical role, helping to keep all the rest of us in line, is hugely appreciated and she remains on the district exec and part of the active support unit and is a long way from hanging up her necker.
Ben Nicholls is taking on the reins, ben.nicholls@blacktoftbeacon-scouts.org.uk, and is first port of call for appointments related queries. Ben is looking forward to working with GSLs and mew volunteers to make the welcome into Scouting smooth and straightforward. Good luck to ben and thanks for volunteering for the role.
