First Response is a mandatory module for most roles in scouting.  There are now various different ways of competing this provided by the training team in Humberside – face to face, blended e-learning, zoom, weekends, week nights.  Full details can be found here Completing Your First Response Training | Providing young people with skills for life through fun, challenge and adventure Humberside Scouts

Should you have opportunity to complete another First Aid course that is set by a reputable body, and covers the TSA criteria, recognition and length requirements (details here 10: First Aid | Scouts) it can be considered as a suitable alternative to a First Response Certificate. Examples of reputable bodies include: St John Ambulance, The British Red Cross, British Canoeing, Mountain Training, etc.  Please send through your certificates for this to be considered.

As with other mandatory training modules, It is a leaders own responsibility to make sure their training is always in date, if not they face suspension, just like with a DBS.
